Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory [Full Album]
This needs to be made into a theatre production, featuring a live band to perform the story in its entirety and perhaps the cast to sing the lyrics as majority of the dialogue. Ideas of composing it more suitably for theatre production:
- ‘Metropolis Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper’ as its introducing scene illustrating the themes of what takes place within Pt. 2.
- Give intervals of dialogue between certain tracks, to clarify some points. I would suggest between ‘Pt. 1 (Introduction)’ and ‘Regression (Act 1, Scene 1)’, between ‘Strange Deja Vu (Act 1, Scene 2)’ and ‘Through My Words (Act 1, Scene 3)’, between ‘Through Her Eyes (Act 1, Scene 5)’ and ‘Home (Act 2, Scene 1)’ [this perhaps being a big interval for a break], between ‘The Spirit Carries On (Act 2 Scene 3)’ and ‘Finally Free (Act 2 Scene 4)’.
- Perhaps pan out the ending to how DT have answer it to be on their FAQs, where Nicolas is killed by the Hypnotist and therefore completing the murderous cycle as he suffered 80 years before.
This has to happen some day, it would be something incredible to see, and an incredible achievement for Metal music I believe. Someone with better contacts than myself, let this idea on to DT, refer them to this link.
You know? I thought about a movie, but this would be much better.
